Fitchburg Family Flees To Texas Amid Alleged Persecution By Police And DCF For Not Vaccinating Infant

A family with five children from Fitchburg, Massachusetts, fled to Texas after what they claim was unwarranted harassment and intimidation by local police and the Department of Children and Families (DCF). The extreme response was reportedly sparked by the parents’ informed decision to decline to vaccinate their healthy nine-month-old baby.

The parents, who homeschool their children, stated to their pediatrician that they were opposed to their new baby receiving the shots based on their sincerely held religious beliefs. Despite citing religious exemptions which are law in Massachusetts, the father, Isael Rivera is being held in Worcester County Jail on a $200,000 bond or 20K cash bail, while the couple’s five children have reportedly been taken into custody by Child Protective Services (CPS). It is unclear whether the children are in foster care in Texas, or back in Massachusetts DCF custody.

The ordeal began when the family’s pediatrician, a mandatory reporter, threatened to report them to DCF after the parents declined vaccinations for their infant during a wellness check.

What followed was a dramatic escalation. Fitchburg police, at the direction of Leominster DCF allegedly surrounded their apartment, banging on doors and circling the property for up to 30 minutes. “Ruth Encarnacion hid in the closet with her five children,” said the good samaritan who assisted the family over their 3 week exile. According to her account of what the family told her, with police and DCF returning in greater numbers the next day, Rivera was also forced to hide, while his wife and children fled from Fitchburg. Trump may be setting up Powell as the fall guy if the market collapse gets worse

As if investors didn’t have enough to worry about, they can now add an open breach between President Donald Trump and the chair of the Federal Reserve during an economic crisis and a financial meltdown.

Fed Chair Jerome Powell shocked observers Friday by slamming Donald Trump’s new tariff policies in prepared remarks, and later added insult to injury by dismissing the president’s rationale for imposing them.

Meanwhile, Trump — watching the Dow Jones Industrial Average collapse in the wake of his “liberation day” tariff announcements — came out and called on Powell to make an emergency cut to short-term interest rates to rescue the situation.

The president’s call could mean he is conceivably setting up Powell as the fall guy if the market collapse gets any worse. The Federal Reserve is legally independent, so the president’s attempt to intervene on short-term interest rates is questionable at best.

All of which adds to the growing concern that so-called American exceptionalism, not long ago the envy of the world, may now be working in reverse.

If America starts to act like a banana republic without bananas, should the U.S. stock market trade at its traditional valuation premium to the rest of the world — or at a discount more suitable to an emerging market?

China Calls Out Trump on TikTok “Deal” – The China Position on TikTok is Far Different from what the U.S. Media is Reporting

Former US president Joe Biden signed a law last year that required TikTok’s China-based parent company ByteDance to divest the app in the United States or be banned, ostensibly over “national security” concerns. The law was set to go into effect in January, but his successor said he would delay its enforcement in hopes of reaching a deal to keep the app “alive”.

This delay was due to end on Saturday if ByteDance hadn’t divested the platform’s US operations to a US company. But in the latest chapter of the long-running saga, the US leader claims to be doing China a favor by “working very hard on a deal to save TikTok”, which is used by about 170 million Americans, half the country’s total population.

The deal would reportedly see a new company owned by a majority of US investors operate TikTok in the US, with ByteDance, the Chinese developer and owner of the popular short video app, maintaining a minority position of around 19 percent.

According to the US president, the proposed deal “has made tremendous progress” but it requires more work to ensure all necessary approvals are signed, “which is why I am signing an Executive Order to keep TikTok up and running for an additional 75 days”.

Perhaps the US leader is trying to cast himself as the Easter Bunny delivering treats.

In reality, he is engaging in highway robbery. His stand-and-deliver proposal to ByteDance is basically nothing more than the popular stick-up demand of “your money or your life”. Or in this case, “your algorithms or the app’s life”.

Following China’s retaliatory tariffs on US exports in response to his administration’s “bonanza for the rich” so-called reciprocal tariffs on all the US’ trading partners, the US president initially showboated feigned fury, accusing Beijing of “panicking”. Then, in a typical twist, he extended an olive branch by suggesting a potential trade-off: easing tariffs in exchange for concessions on TikTok’s US operations.

Despite claiming that “We do not want TikTok to go dark. We look forward to working with TikTok and China to close the Deal”, the deal he envisions is being persuasively enforced via the barrel of his tariff gun. (Full article.)

China Daily: US trade imbalance rooted in domestic woes

The “reciprocal tariffs” imposed by the Trump administration violate the rules of the World Trade Organization, posing a serious challenge to the multilateral trading system and representing a self-defeating approach.

Trump’s tariff policies lack a basic understanding of macroeconomic principles and arbitrarily attribute the trade imbalances caused by domestic reasons in the US to other countries. The root cause of the substantial trade deficit lies in the excessively low savings rate within the country, rather than a lack of “reciprocity” among trading partners. (Full article.)

China Believes Their Tariffs Just Delivered a “Mike Tyson” Knockout Punch to the U.S. Economy

If China pulls off the tariff-consumption retaliatory combo, it could be a fatal blow to US relevance in the global economy

Mike Tyson’s most dangerous combo was a right hook to his opponent’s left kidney followed by a snap uppercut to the chin. Correctly executed, the right hook to the body momentarily stuns the opponent causing him to double over, exposing the chin to the uppercut follow-up.

China just went big, implementing a 34% across-the-board tariff on imports from the US, export restrictions on a range of rare earth minerals and sanctions on 11 American companies. Mike Tyson has just delivered a right hook to the body.

China also went first. A parade of economies, Vietnam most publicly, has been making calls to the White House to negotiate away crippling tariffs. The pusillanimous strategy would have been to wait and see.

If China’s strategy were to salvage as much trade as possible, a wait-and-see strategy would be appropriate. The whole world would be jockeying for advantage as everyone takes cues from everyone else and winds up with similarly lousy deals, namely large reductions in tariffs and/or commitments to purchase sizeable quantities of American goods.

By going out big with a retaliatory tariff, China signaled that it is not trying to meet President Donald Trump halfway.

Trump administration asks Supreme Court to block order that it return man mistakenly deported to El Salvador

4th Circuit Court of Appeals already denied the Trump Admin’s request, setting up the first showdown between the U.S. Supreme Court and the Trump Administration.

The Trump administration on Monday asked the Supreme Court to block a judge’s order requiring it to return a Maryland man who was accidentally deported to a high-security prison in El Salvador to U.S. soil.

The request came as the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals on Monday morning denied the Trump administration’s request for a stay of a judge’s order demanding that Kilmar Abrego Garcia — a legal resident protected from deportation by a 2019 court order who has lived in the U.S. since 2011 — be returned to the U.S. by 11:59 p.m. Monday.

Abrego Garcia had been deported on March 15 in what the Trump administration described as an “administrative error.“

U.S. District Court Paula Xinis of Maryland issued the return order on Friday, calling Abrego Garcia’s deportation unlawful.

On Saturday, the Justice Department asked the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals to stay the order and asked Xinis to stay her own ruling as appeals are underway. She denied that request on Sunday. In a brief filing on Monday morning, the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals denied the Trump Administration’s request for a stay of her order as appeals are underway.

In its filing to the Supreme Court, the Trump administration said, “This order — and its demand to accomplish sensitive foreign negotiations post-haste and effectuate Abrego Garcia’s return tonight — is unprecedented and indefensible.” (Source.)

Apple is the third Magnificent Seven member to have produced the bearish crossover chart pattern. Alphabet will be the fourth.

With the historic market selloff of the past few days, the ominous-sounding “death cross” chart pattern is expected to start appearing in a fast and furious manner.

Apple Inc.’s stock was dropping 3.1% toward an 11-month low in premarket trading Monday, after tumbling 15.9% over the previous two sessions.

The shares will open with the 50-day moving average — a widely followed short-term trend tracker — crossing below the 200-day moving average, which is seen as a dividing line for the long-term trend. This “death cross” pattern is viewed by many as marking the moment when a shorter-term decline becomes a longer-term downtrend.

Apple is now the third member of the Magnificent Seven group of technology giants to have seen a death cross in its stock chart since one popped up in Nvidia Corp.’s
has seen a few death crosses since Nov. 1, with the most recent one on Feb. 25.

Those won’t be the last ones investors see. Alphabet Inc.’s stock was down 1.8% in Monday’s premarket trading. At current trajectories, the stock would need to see a hefty bounce on Tuesday — by more than 25% — to keep the 50-DMA from falling below the 200-DMA on Tuesday.

Iran’s Army Ground Force Commander Brigadier General Kiumars Heidari says the Arash 2 is one of the leading long-range drones with high precision and pinpoint accuracy.

The suicide Arash 2 is also a long-range and radar-evading research unmanned aerial vehicle with a high destructive capability, Heidari said on Monday.

He noted that the drone stands at the cutting edge of technology of the Iranian Army which has been designed and mass produced by the country’s defense industries experts.

Back in September 2022, Heidari said the advanced Arash-2 drone, which is a newer version of the previously unveiled Arash-1 aircraft, has been designed to target the coastal cities of Tel Aviv and Haifa in the Israeli-occupied territories in case of a military confrontation with the regime.

He explained that the drone enjoys unique specifications and capabilities, and can successfully retrieve information multiple times before it strikes and destroys the designated target.

Arash-1 drone is a kamikaze and radar-evading unmanned aerial vehicle first launched during the Iranian Army’s massive drone exercises in January 2019 from a portable launcher installed on the Makran coast in the southeastern part of the country.

The drone’s wing is of the delta type and has been designed for high speeds. Its design, therefore, enables the aircraft to conserve its fuel for greater endurance and flying longer distances.

Iran’s massive and rapid progress in drone technology and its capabilities to carry out long-range strikes in drone warfare with a high level of accuracy have further cemented the country’s growing military might in the West Asia.

The excuse, as always, was allegedly to discuss Iran’s nuclear program. For those of you new to the “Iran cannot have a nuclear bomb” false narrative, this is a fake narrative that has been going on for decades now.

First, Iran is part of BRICS, and they are already scheduled to meet with China and Russia for nuclear talks, as announced earlier today:

Secondly, Russia has warned the U.S. that if they bomb Iran’s nuclear sites, there would be “catastrophic” consequences:

Iran has been saying that they were going to meet with Trump’s officials in Qatar, so let’s see what actually happens.

Where they meet and who attends will give us a better indication as to the nature of such talks. But my guess is that if it is not open to the public, the main topic will be the price and flow of oil, which right now sits at just $60 a barrel which is UNSUSTAINABLE for the Billionaires running the U.S., with posturing about what actions might happen if the bombs start flying, such as the Straight of Hormuz, which Iran controls and where 20% of the world’s oil flows.

The true goal of a war with Iran would include getting the price of oil higher, which benefits the billionaires and oligarchs on both sides.

The “Press Conference” with Netanyahu and Trump at the White House was pure theatrics. They will never reveal their real plans to the public.
