While the U.S. Stock Market had a brief reprieve yesterday, mostly based on Trump’s promises lies to escort ships through the Strait of Hormuz and that gas prices would quickly drop after the war, the markets tanked again today when faced with the reality that Trump’s assurances were just empty words.
The rich Arab Gulf states are being relentlessly bombed, knocking oil and gas production offline, and the Strait of Hormuz remains blocked, at least to the countries supporting the Zionist State of Israel.
And rising oil prices are not the only doomsday news coming out of the war with Iran in terms of the U.S. economy, as Big Tech is also taking a huge hit, as these rich Arab Gulf kingdoms are also home to some of the largest Venture Capital funds that flow into Big Tech and AI.
These are the stories I have been following today as posted on our Telegram Channel [1].
Araghchi: Invading Iran ‘would be a big disaster for’ US ground troops
Watch the confusion of this corporate U.S. journalist when Iran’s Foreign Minister calmly states that they are not worried at all about a U.S. ground invasion, but are actually “waiting for it.”
Big Tech in the Middle East Suffers as Iran Bombs Dubai and UAE Even More than Israel

The rich Arab States have some of the largest venture capital firms investing in Big Tech as the price of oil has been so low for so long, and they have been investing heavily in technology for years now to make up lost revenue in oil sales.
Now those investments are going up in smoke as they are unable to stop Iranian drones that are destroying their infrastructure. This is a financial catastrophe for Big Tech.

The Iran War Creates Doubts About the Commercial Launch of Flying Taxis This Year
Last week, Joby Aviation and Uber announced a new collaboration in Dubai: Later this year, people opening the Uber app would be able to choose between standard offerings such as UberX and a new option—flying to their destination by electric air taxi.
Three days later, President Donald Trump ordered his attack on Iran, largely grounding civilian aviation across the region.
The war appears to have put a stop, at least for the foreseeable future, to plans by Joby and two other leading flying taxi startups—Archer Aviation and China’s eHang—to launch the world’s first airborne ride-hailing services this year in the United Arab Emirates. And when they do fly, the companies are likely to face far higher rates for war risk insurance, making the services more expensive to run.
Joby’s shares fell as much as 4% after the attack, Archer’s 7% and eHang’s 9%
The hit on the UAE’s nascent air taxi industry reflects the broader reputational damage the war has inflicted on the six Persian Gulf monarchies, which for years have cultivated reputations as technological first movers and stable hubs for financial capital.
Exemplifying the new reality, Iranian drones have struck two Amazon Web Services data centers in the UAE and one in Bahrain. In a closed-door briefing Wednesday, Trump administration officials told senators that there was no way to intercept all of the Iranian drones, which explode on impact.
In the week of fighting, no state in the region, including Israel, has drawn more Iranian fire power than the UAE.
As of Tuesday, Iran had fired some 174 ballistic missiles at the UAE, in addition to eight cruise missiles and 755 drones, according to the UAE Ministry of Defense.
Short-term insurance rates are up twelvefold in recent days on some oil tankers, the Financial Times reported. The eVTOLs won’t be flying until well after the shooting stops, so the rate increases they face will likely be more modest.
Eurasia’s Kupchan said it will be hard for the Gulf monarchies to restore the reputation that drew in the eVTOL companies and others.
“Capital’s a coward,” he said.
“They made capital feel comfortable. But unfortunately, that kind of investment climate image is a little bit like an eggshell. It’s very difficult to put back together once it’s been pierced.”
Dubai influencers warned over posts depicting war damage
Dubai will NOT be able to contain this. Tens of thousands are fleeing their kingdom, mostly westerners, and there is no way they can censor them.
From RT.com [3]:
Emirati officials have threatened violators with fines and jail time for publishing footage related to alleged Iranian strikes
The Dubai authorities have threatened influencers publishing materials that depict damage reportedly caused by Iranian missiles and drones with hefty fines or even jail.
Tehran has denied targeting civilian infrastructure in neighboring countries, including in the UAE, insisting that its armed forces are only attacking American military bases in the region in response to US and Israeli attacks.
Dubai has for some time been a magnet for content creators from around the world with its Dedicated Residence Golden Visa.
In a social media post, Emirati authorities warned people against publishing any materials deemed to be harmful to “public order” and “national unity.” Those violating the regulations will face fines of up to $77,000 or jail.
An anonymous lifestyle influencer residing in Dubai told The Telegraph that the local authorities “want to control the narrative, that’s for sure.”
“There are strict rules about what you can say here,” she added.
In a statement issued on Saturday – hours after the US and Israel launched massive airstrikes on Iran – the UAE public prosecutor’s office warned “against publishing or circulating rumors and information from unknown sources through social media platforms.”
Hundreds more passengers return home from Dubai

Iranian drone strikes high-rise in Dubai:

From CNN [4]:
Passengers stranded in Dubai for days are finally returning home.
The US-Israel war against Iran previously sparked airport closures and flight cancellations in the region, stranding thousands of international travelers. Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, is the biggest tourism and trade hub in the Middle East.
Its airport is one of the world’s busiest, serving as a home base for the airline Emirates.
Emirates flight EK163 conveyed more than 368 passengers to Dublin Airport, landing at 11 p.m. on Wednesday.
Images show more passengers reunited with loved ones at Bulgaria’s Sofia airport on Thursday.
“It has been quite nerve-wracking, quite stressful, and very worrying,” Sheree, whose son was stranded in Dubai on his way to Rome, told CNN affiliate 9News.
“He was talking and he said ‘Mum, I’ve got to hang up. There’s bombs going off,’ and it was quite loud. But he’s coming home… it’s going to be fantastic.”
Susie Wiles sounds the alarm on gas prices

Will Trump try to invoke some executive order to keep gas prices low for Americans?
I wouldn’t bet on that. Big Oil in the U.S. is completely private, controlled by powerful families like the Rockefellers and Bush families.
From Politico [5]:
President Donald Trump’s chief of staff, Susie Wiles, is telling his advisers to bring ideas to the Oval Office to lower gasoline prices in the wake of the U.S. attack on Iran, according to two energy industry executives familiar with the conversations.
The White House is “looking under every rock for ideas on improving energy prices, especially gasoline prices,” said one of the executives, who was granted anonymity to describe internal administration discussions.
The attack and Iran’s subsequent targeting of the Persian Gulf’s energy sector has sent crude oil up more than $10 a barrel, lifting gasoline prices to their highest levels since Trump took office last year.
Energy Secretary Chris Wright and other advisers focused on energy policy, including a council led by Interior Secretary Doug Burgum, “are getting screamed at to find some good news” on bringing down prices, the same executive said.
“Folks are scrambling for announcements and messaging to counter the narrative” of rising prices, this person said.
White House officials didn’t address internal conversations but pointed to moves earlier in the week aimed at securing oil supplies.
“As usual, POLITICO wrote sensationalist, unverified gossip for clicks,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement.
“Nobody is panicking.”
Well Wall Street is, Lyin’ Karoline. And soon Trump will not have any more tricks and lies up his sleeve to try and soothe Wall Street….
Why the U.S.’s ‘newfound oil’ in Venezuela won’t offset an Iran oil shock
Here’s Wall Street’s take on today’s comments from the Trump Administration and Lyin’ Karoline.
From MarketWatch [6]:
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt may have been trying to calm a nervous Wall Steet on Thursday when she said the Trump administration will tap into “our newfound oil” in Venezuela to continue America’s dominance in the energy market.
But taking advantage of the world’s largest oil reserves won’t even come close to making up for the barrels lost amid the conflict with Iran — and efforts by the White House to calm the oil market’s nerves fell on deaf ears.
“Oil’s blasting off like a Tomahawk rocket,” said Manish Raj, managing director of Velandera Energy Partners.
The Strait of Hormuz, one of the most important oil-shipping routes in the world, is in a “virtual blackout” with transit essentially halted — and that has U.S. oil prices “baking in the mother of all supply shocks since the [1973 oil] embargo,” he said.
“Can Uncle Sam magic up the barrels? Not a snowball’s chance in Houston, as we’re starting down a 16 million-barrel-per-day black hole that Venezuela’s maxed-out, 1 million-barrel daydream can’t charge against this monster,” Raj noted.
When asked whether the White House’s comments suggest that Venezuela’s oil production can help offset barrels lost through the Iran conflict, a Trump administration official told MarketWatch that discussions between the president’s team and oil companies have been positive and ongoing.
“Venezuela is not going to solve the current problems in the crude market — the timing simply does not line up with the disruption risk coming from the Strait of Hormuz,” said Babin.
An oil-and-gas company executive once told MarketWatch that rebuilding Venezuela’s energy sector would be a “multiyear, multibillion-dollar project.”
Why QatarEnergy’s LNG production halt could shake up global gas markets
Qatar supplies 20 percent of the world’s LNG.
From AlJazeera [7]:
QatarEnergy has suspended liquefied natural gas (LNG) production following a drone attack, straining the global LNG market.
On Monday, Iranian drones struck two sites, according to Qatar’s Ministry of Defence: a water tank at a power plant in Mesaieed Industrial City and an energy facility in Ras Laffan belonging to QatarEnergy, the world’s largest LNG producer.
The drone attacks hit the Ras Laffan complex, which is home to processing units for liquefied natural gas set to be exported.
The state-owned energy company was forced to declare what is known as force majeure, when a company is freed from contractual obligations in the event of extraordinary circumstances, such as a drone attack, according to Reuters and Bloomberg News, citing people familiar with the matter.
Qatar’s LNG exports represent 20 percent of the global market. With fewer products reaching the market, LNG supply is down, causing prices to surge.
Which oil and gas facilities in the Gulf have been attacked?

From AlJazeera [8]:
Global energy markets remain in a state of high alert after several Gulf states suspended oil and gas production following escalating tensions in the region.
Since Saturday’s attacks by the United States and Israel, Tehran has targeted various sites in Israel and across several Gulf countries.
How much oil and gas does the Middle East have?
Nearly half of the world’s oil reserves and exports come from the Middle East, which contains five of the seven largest oil reserves in the world.
Once refined, crude oil is used to make various products, including petrol, diesel, jet fuel and a wide range of household items such as cleaning products, plastics and even lotions.
After Venezuela, which has 303 billion barrels, Saudi Arabia holds the world’s second-largest proven crude oil reserves, estimated at 267 billion barrels.
The Middle East’s largest oil reserves:
Saudi Arabia: 267 billion barrels
Iran: 209 billion barrels
Iraq: 145 billion barrels
UAE: 113 billion barrels
Kuwait: 102 billion barrelsSaudi Arabia is also the world’s top oil exporter with an estimated $187bn of crude in 2024, according to data from the Observatory of Economic Complexity (OEC).
Which energy facilities have been attacked?
Here are the facilities which have recorded damage as of Wednesday:
Saudi Arabia – Ras Tanura oil refinery
On Monday, one of the world’s largest oil refining complexes, the Ras Tanura oil refinery owned by Saudi Aramco, was forced to halt operations after debris from intercepted Iranian drones caused a small fire.
Saudi Aramco is one of the world’s largest companies, with a market capitalisation exceeding $1.7 trillion and revenue of $480bn. Headquartered in Dhahran, in eastern Saudi Arabia, Aramco controls 12 percent of global oil production, with a capacity of more than 12 million barrels per day (bpd).
Qatar – Ras Laffan Industrial City LNG facilities
On Monday, Qatar’s Ministry of Defence reported that Iranian drones had targeted an energy facility in Ras Laffan belonging to QatarEnergy, the world’s largest LNG producer.
While no casualties were reported, QatarEnergy suspended the production of LNG and other products at the impacted sites.
Qatar – Mesaieed Industrial City
Qatar’s Defence Ministry said the country was attacked by a second drone launched from Iran on Monday, targeting a water tank belonging to a power plant in Mesaieed, without reporting any casualties.
On Tuesday, QatarEnergy also stopped production of some downstream products like urea, polymers, methanol, aluminium and others.
UAE – Fujairah and Mussafah oil terminals
On Monday, a fire broke out at Mussafah Fuel Terminal in southwest Abu Dhabi after it was struck by a drone.
On Tuesday, falling debris from a drone interception caused a fire at the Fujairah Oil Terminal along the eastern coast of the United Arab Emirates. No injuries were reported.
Oman – ports of Duqm and Salalah
On Tuesday, multiple Iranian drones struck fuel tanks and a tanker at the port of Duqm, with at least one direct hit on a fuel storage tank, causing an explosion.
On the same day, a drone strike was recorded at the Port of Salalah, which handles fuel and industrial minerals.
Kristi Noem is the First Casualty in a Troubled Trump Administration

She won’t be the last one. Let’s see how quickly the Zionists in the Epstein Syndicate fall as gas and inflation skyrocket in the days and weeks ahead…
Trump fires Kristi Noem as homeland security secretary
From NBC News [9]:
President Donald Trump on Thursday fired Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, making her the first Cabinet secretary to depart her post and capping off a tumultuous year in which she oversaw the president’s increasingly unpopular mass deportation agenda.
Alongside the announcement of Noem’s ouster, the president said he would tap Sen. Markwayne Mullin, R-Okla., to be her replacement, elevating a fiercely loyal first-term senator.
An administration official told NBC News that the president decided to fire Noem due to “a culmination of her many unfortunate leadership failures including the fallout in Minnesota, the ad campaign, the allegations of infidelity, the mismanagement of her staff, and her constant feuding with the heads of other agencies, including CBP and ICE.”
The official added: “Kristi’s drama sadly overshadowed and distracted from the Administration’s extremely popular immigration agenda, which will continue full force.”
